At Kayla Stone Books, the mission is simple: to write stories that make you laugh, make you feel something, and remind you that you are not alone in the beautiful chaos of everyday life.
Every book begins with a truth. Every story starts with a real human moment — the kind that is funny and sad and strange and completely recognizable all at once. Kayla Stone believes that the best writing doesn't just entertain. It connects. It says: I see you. I have been there too. You are not the only one.
Kayla Stone Books exists because stories matter. Because laughter heals. Because somewhere in the pages of every book is a person who needed to write it — and a reader who needed to find it.

Kayla Stone did not set out to be an author.
For eighteen years she showed up every day to a demanding career, managing communities, solving problems, and listening to people — really listening — in a way that most people never do. She collected stories the way some people collect stamps. Quietly. Consistently. Without fully realizing what she was doing.
Then in 2021, she lost her daughter Amanda. And the world, for a while, went very quiet.
She went back to work after four days because showing up is what she knows how to do. Because the phone was ringing and she knew how to answer it. Because somewhere, she believed Amanda was watching — and she wanted her to be proud of what she saw.
Writing found her in the middle of all of that. Not as an escape, but as a way of making sense of things. Of honoring the stories she had been carrying. Of saying out loud what had been quietly accumulating for nearly two decades of listening to people who were never really fighting about the thing they said they were fighting about.
Kayla Stone Books was born in 2026 — the year Kayla finally put it all down on paper. The year she became not just someone who listened to stories, but someone who told them.
She writes for everyone who has ever felt unseen. For everyone who has laughed when they probably should have cried. For everyone who picked up the phone when it was hard, showed up when they didn't have to, and kept going anyway.

There are no words adequate enough to express the gratitude that lives at the heart of Kayla Stone Books. But we are going to try anyway — because that is what we do here. We show up. We say the thing. We put it on record.
To the readers.
You picked up a Kayla Stone book. In a world of infinite things competing for your attention — your time, your eyes, your heart — you chose to spend some of it here. That is not a small thing. That is everything.
Reading is an act of trust. You trusted that the pages would be worth your time. You trusted that someone you had never met had something worth saying. You trusted that laughter and honesty and a little bit of heart could coexist in the same book and be worth the price of admission.
We do not take that trust lightly. Every reader matters. Every person who finished a chapter and thought yes, I know someone exactly like that — that person is the reason we keep writing.
Thank you for your time. Thank you for your reviews. Thank you for every share, every recommendation, every time you handed the book to a friend and said you have to read this. You are the best marketing there is and you do it out of pure generosity and we are so grateful.
To the reviewers.
You took the time not just to read but to respond. To put your thoughts into words and leave them somewhere others could find them. You have no idea how much that means to a debut author staring at a dashboard waiting to see if anyone cares. You cared. You said so out loud. Thank you.
To the colleagues and the professional family.
The ones who answered at midnight. The ones who caught what was missed before it became a problem. The ones who became extended family when the job asked too much and you gave it anyway. You know who you are. You have always shown up. So has Kayla Stone Books — because of you.
To the real Kayla.
For the unconditional love, the perpetual chaos, and the absolute refusal to take no for an answer. You run the household and I would have it no other way. 🐾
And to Amanda.
Every word. Every page. Every book.
This is all for you.
Always. 🤍
